National Bridal Sale: July 17th-24th

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! We are so excited to host the National Bridal Sale again this year. I think this is ….. year 6 maybe? So what’s it all about?

A group of 600+ independent bridal shop owners, like us, worked together to create one big nationwide event. We got support from major design partners like Justin Alexander (we work with them!), Allure (we work with them too!) and many more who are helping us shout the exciting details of this event from the rooftops.

So what does this mean for our beautiful shoppers? Hello Beautiful Bridal & Formal Wear has a variety of styles, colors, and sizes of wedding dresses that are marked with pretty pink and blue ribbons. The pink ribbon on a gown means the wedding dress is 50% off the retail price. WooHoo! The blue ribbon on the gown means you can purchase it for 50% off the retail price OR you can order the gown for regular price if you need a different size, color or customization. If you order the gown, you will receive a free veil or headpiece (up to $120 value) with your purchase.

Appointments will go fast so be sure you book today. You can give us a call at 308-708-0678 or go online to pick your perfect appointment time.

Everyone loves a good sale and this one is the best (in our opinion!) Say Yes for Less at the National Bridal Sale at Hello Beautiful Bridal & Formal Wear happening July 17th-24th in downtown Kearney, NE! ❤❤

We’ll be posting pics of wedding dresses included on the sale so be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to catch all the pretty details too! See you soon!!

Do’s & Don’ts for Guest-of Wedding Wear

We have lots of guest-of shoppers who are looking for the perfect attire when attending a wedding. We love helping each and every one of them find the perfect style. Here’s a few Do’s and Don’ts when it comes to guest-of wedding wear:

Don’t wear white or ivory. Our first suggestion should come as no surprise when we tell you to never, never, never wear white or ivory to a wedding. There are rare occasions when a bride will want some particular guests to wear those colors but unless you are specifically asked to wear it, avoid them. Even color blocks of them. It’s not your day!

Do pay attention to the wedding colors. Use the Save-the-date and wedding invitation as a cue for the couple’s wedding colors. Then avoid those colors. You’d sure hate to show up and look like a lost member of the bridal party.nottowear

Don’t wear cut-outs.  Revealing clothing should be left for the club, so unless you’re attending a late night wild elopement in Vegas, keep your attire modest. All eyes and conversation should be on the bride and groom, not your outfit and whether or not a body part will pop out. Keep it classy!

Do beware of the glitter. While every gal loves some sparkle, heelbe careful of wearing sequin or sparkly details. Unless this is a black-tie wedding, leave the sparkle to the bride and her beautiful ring!

Don’t wear super high heels. While a great high heel can give you a set of stunning looking legs, you’ll want to make sure you can dance the night away. If you’re heels get too high, that could be trouble. Keep the heels to a minimum or just be sure to pack some stylish flats for the reception!

Do accessorize to dress up a casual dress. unnamedWhile your Easter dress might be a good one to wear to attend a wedding, you may want to glam it up a bit for your friend’s big day.

Don’t miss out on the fun! While being dressed appropriately is important, dressing comfortably is also a must. If what you’re wearing is not something you can move and groove in, you just might want to re-think your attire.

WE’RE OPEN!

Wow! Time flies! We hustled and bustled to get the store ready for our December 20th opening and now here we are with nearly two weeks under our belts! It has been incredible!

The store underwent some rapid changes in the week leading up to our opening. My husband, Dan, completed several display cases for us as well as constructed pedestals for brides to view their beautiful gowns upon. We added our Little Black Dress wall in and a shoe display space. We’ve still got a list a mile long of “To-Do” items but we’ll keep plugging away at them. First, we focus on our customers!

Our opening day was wildly successful! We welcomed a family of 4 generations of beautiful women into the shop at 9:45 am so they could be introduced to a beautiful wedding gown and mothers-of dress. From there we met dozens of amazing brides and prom-goers. In the blink of an eye, it was 4pm. Totally amazing! We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from our family, friends, and community. The Kearney Hub had a wonderful article on us!

We knew we’d meet amazing people however the last few weeks have been incredibly emotional. Jenna and I have been so moved by the lives our customers lead. This experience is more than just a shopping transaction. It’s a connection, a relationship. We consider it a privilege to meet so many amazing people. With each customer we learn bits and pieces about the story of their life and we can’t help but be touched (and motivated) by the accomplishments, obstacles, and goals our shoppers, mainly women, have achieved or overcome. Truly, truly incredible women!

While our doors are open, we want to be sure we make it “officially official.” On January 29th at 4pm we will host our ribbon cutting with the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce and will celebrate through the entire weekend. We hope you all can join us! The following week, February 6th – 9th, we will be hosting our very first trunk show with one of our incredible prom lines, Faviana. As an official retailer of Faviana, we will partner with them to host an added incredible selection of prom gowns available for purchase. It will be a fun experience for everyone!

We have so much more to accomplish to make sure Hello Beautiful Bridal & Formal Wear is running at 110%. We have already learned a lot in our short time open. One focus remains unchanged….our shoppers, our amazing guests. We will welcome everyone with a warm greeting and a great big smile, just as we would welcome someone into our home. We hope you enjoy your time with us. We certainly enjoy our time with you. Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and wishing you a Happy New Year!
